College of the Ozarks (Point Lookout, MO)

Established in 1906, College of the Ozarks is a private, Christian aesthetic sciences school in the residential area of Point Lookout, in the Ozark Mountains only south of Branson. The present understudy enlistment is around 1500 people; the school keeps up a 13-to-one understudy to-staff proportion.

Understudies at College of the Ozarks pay no educational cost. Each understudy takes an interest in a work-study program and is required to work 15 hours a week while school is in session, and two 40-hour weeks amid every break. The school was particularly intended for understudies who have the legitimacy yet not the way to get an advanced education. Thus, the school has been nicknamed "Diligent Work U," a name and aphorism it has gladly grasped.

School of the Ozarks, which right now offers more than 30 majors, has the notoriety for being a standout amongst the most traditionalist grounds and having the most preservationist understudy body in the nation. The school was named the #1 Best Buy College in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report.
