Emory University (Atlanta, GA) - Dual Degree Social Work and Theology

Dual Degree Social Work and Theology

A double Master of Divinity/Master of Social Work (MDiv/MSW) permits understudies to join preparing and involvement in social work with philosophical studies and arrangement for service. The MSW, offered through the University of Georgia, offers an upgraded mindfulness and engagement of open assets for group improvement and strengthening; abilities for promotion and social strategy investigation; project outline, strategies, and organization of group based offices and projects; authoritative examination; and learning and experience of clinical practices in fields, for example, gerontology, and individual and family treatment.

This project permits the MDiv/MSW degrees to be earned in four years, one year shorter than if the religious philosophy and social work degrees were sought after independently.

An understudy applies to every school independently as the schools keep up free application techniques. When admitted to both schools, understudies apply for the double degree program and are allocated guides at every school.

Commonly the first year is spent at Candler, the second and third years at UGA's School of Social Work, and the fourth year at Candler. The understudy must enroll and pay for four semesters at Candler and four semesters at UGA. Candler grants are pertinent just to those semesters in which understudies are in residency at the School of Theology.
